Questions to ask that will help you determine the best art for your space:
Will the piece go onto a wall with existing art? If so, then how will it look compared to the other pieces displayed?
What type of furniture is in the space? Is it necessary for the furniture style to coordinate with the art, or is it okay to mix things up?
What other colors are in the room? Do the colors in the art match, compliment, or clash with the surroundings?
Are you looking for a specific type of art? Are you looking for jewel tones, warm earth tones, timeless monochromatic photography, realistic photos, abstract art, urban scenes, something organic and handmade, something quirky and abstract, religious symbols, black and white abstract art, something playful and fun, honest line drawings, urban culture (design meets graffiti), florals, crayola brights, maximalist art, mixed metals, the liquid effect (things that resemble a swirled, splashed liquid with curves that remind you of waves or movement of water)?
How much space do you want the art to take up?
How much humidity does the space get?
How much light does the space get?
I hope the answers to these questions will help guide you as you select what art will work best for your space. If you are still not sure, I do offer Sales On Approval.
May all your spaces be beautiful ones. -Christine D.
